The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has dissolved the management team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko which was led by Sylvester Asare Owusu.
The Asantehene has been meeting with the club’s management and technical team to address the dwindling fortunes of the porcupine warriors.
The defending champions of the Glo Premier League have suffered a string of defeats in the ongoing league to the displeasure of supporters of the club.
Otumfuo has constituted a six-member interim committee to steer the affairs of the club.
The new management team will manage the affairs of the club until the end of the season.
It is made up of Mr Ben Nti, an executive of the national circles committee of the club, Alhaji Nje and Madam Helena Cobbinah, both former board members of the club.
The rest are Rev. Osei Kofi, Opoku Afriyie and Safo Gyamfi, all former players of the club.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu made the announcement when he met with the players, management members and stakeholders of the team at the Manhyia Place on Saturday.
The committee is billed to meet later in the week and elect a leader.
The new management team has been tasked to lift the club from their current uninspiring form and end the league in a respectable position.
