Supporters of Asante Kotoko have expressed mixed reactions over the dissolution of the management by the life patron of the club, Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu.
The Sylvester Asare Owusu led management was dissolved, Saturday, after series of uninspiring performances which has kept the defending champions at a disappointing 8th position after 18 premier league outings.
A six member interim management team made up of Mr Ben Nti, an executive of the national circles committee of the club, Alhaji Nje and Madam Helena Cobbinah, both former board members of the club, Rev. Osei Kofi, Opoku Afriyie and Safo Gyamfi, all former players of the club have been tasked with the responsibility to save the dwindling fortunes of the defending champions of the Glo Premier League.
But the fans are divided over the decision taken by the life patron.
A section of the fans told Lov FM's Delali Attiase the dissolution was right, but came a bit too late. They attribute the strings of defeats to infighting between members of the dissolved management.
Others on the other hand maintain, the decision was knee-jerk and will not solve the predicaments of the porcupine warriors.
Even though the views are different, the fans still respect the authority of the life patron.
They hope the decision will translate into results for the porcupine warriors as they host old foes, Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday in week 19 of the Glo premier league.
