Black Stars striker Mathew Amoah scored the winner as NAC Breda earned a 3-2 win at home over Feyenoord in the Eredivisie Europa League play-offs on Saturday.
NAC broke the deadlock on 56 minutes through Rob Penders and Donny Gorter doubled the lead from the penalty spot four minutes later.
Roy Makaay reduced the arrears for Feyenoord with a spot-kick after 69 minutes but Matthew Amoah restored the hosts' two-goal advantage seven minutes from time.
Jon Dahl Tomasson gave the visitors hope for the second leg with another penalty three minutes from time with Tommie van der Leegte seeing red for NAC.
Amoah made a flying start to the season but spells on the sidelines due to injuries robbed him off his clinical finishing.
The play-offs are the best of three and the second matches are scheduled for Thursday.
The eventual winners will meet in a best-of-three final, starting on May 28th.
