The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dissociated itself from some publications about purported recruitment of players for football assignments either locally or abroad. There have been recent publications in the media by persons or groups promising to recruit players for tourneys within and outside.A statement signed by Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA copied to GNA Sports therefore warned the public to be wary of such persons and report them to the law enforcement agencies accordingly.“The GFA wishes to inform the general public that it has not authorized any person or group of persons to recruit players for any football assignment either locally or abroad.“This release is against information received that recruitment exercises are being announced on the airwaves and in the print media, compelling unsuspecting parents to pay various sums of money in an attempt to sending their wards abroad to play football.“We count on the cooperation of the general public to be on the lookout for these self-styled football agents.”Source: GNA
