Ghana football legend Abedi Ayew Pele believes Mali lack the team strength to wreck the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign of the Black Stars but admitted that the Eagles have a rich stock of players.
The three-time African footballer has predicted a hard-fought victory for Milovan Rajevac and his charges in next month's combined qualifier in Bamako.
He believes Mali with performers like Frederic Kanoute(Sevilla), Mahamadou Diarra(Real Madrid), Momo Sissoko(Juventus) and Seidu Kaita (Barcelona) have failed to gel as a team.
Abedi Pele is confident that the Black Stars have a balanced team as compared to Mali to shock them in their backyard.
"Let me tell you, they have excellent players but do not have a team and we have a team that can shock them. I believe so much in this current Black Stars," Ayew disclosed on a TV show, Football N All.
"You can mention their players and where they play but trust this Black Stars to do it. I don't mean that victory will come easy. No not at all.
"In this qualifiers I expect you to struggle and face tough challenges but you have to be strong to get the necessary results."
The Black Stars are Group D leaders and will play Mali on 06 June before another trip to Khartoum to play Sudan after two weeks.
