Cape Coast Venomous Vipers started the Central Region Division Two League on a bright note when they spanked Effutu Citrus 3-0 at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium, Cape Coast.
Vipers led 2-0 at half time from goals scored by midfielder Ibrahim Tijani and Yahaya Musah.
On resumption, Vipers sealed the doom of the visitors when they increased the tally to 3-0 on the 75th minute mark through Joseph Edekoh.
In other results Ntisiman Nsamka F/C drew 1-1 with Liberty Rainbow, Abreshia United also drew 1-1 with Nadel Rovers while Astronomers also drew 1-1 with Shalom F/C.
In a related development, the Assin United Stars F/C would host Mfuom United at Assin Adrembra in the second week of the Central Region Division Two League which comes off at all the League centres on Sunday, June 7.
According to the fixtures released by the Regional Football Association at Cape Coast, Assinman United would vie with Great Assin North at Assin Fosu while Dunkwa United meet Adansi Praso WAECO at Dunkwa-on-Offin.
Tuba Metro Stars would clash with Kasoa Bagojet, Gomoaman Dahlin would sort things out with Kasoa Perrank F/C at Gomoa Benso and Senya Bereku URB F/C would meet Ofaakor Shepherd Stars at Senya Bereku.
Gomoa Ojobi Miracle Land F/C would vie with Ofaakor Lamptey Mills F/C at Gomoa Ojobi while Buduburam F/C hosts Kasoa Cheetah F/C at Gomoa Buduburam.Source: GNA
