Black Stars in-form defender John Paintsil has been ruled out of the team's next qualifier against Sudan on 20 June.
The Fulham right-back will sit out the tie due to yellow card accumulation in the 2010 Nations Cup/World Cup qualifiers.
He has played all of eight matches for the Black Stars since the qualifiers began in June last year and has made 51 appearances.
Paintsil also played all but one of Fulham's English Premier League matches this term.
In his absence, it is believed that head coach Milovan Rajevac will deploy youngster Samuel Inkoom in the right-back role.
Ghana are chasing another win to further consolidate their lead on top of Group D.
