The joint police and military team dispatched to the Agbogbloshie market area to enforce the partial lockdown in Accra, are struggling to control the number of people trooping in to shop.
Head of JoyNews’ Health Desk, Fred Smith has been to the area and reports that the officers are unable to stop the shoppers because, per President Akufo-Addo’s directive, they are allowed to shop.

The partial lockdown is part of government’s move to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country, with Accra being the hardest hit region with 274 cases.
Ashanti which is also on a partial lockdown has recorded 25 cases while Central, Upper West, Upper East and Eastern regions have a case each. The Northern region has 10, bringing Ghana’s total Covid-19 cases to 313.
