The Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners (IHRMP), Ghana has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the Labour Department of the Employment and Labour Relations Ministry.
The PPEs donated comprised of 100 pieces of nose masks, some gallons of hand sanitizers and liquid soap, hand tissues and Veronica buckets.
Making the presentation on behalf of the Institute, President of the National Governing Council, Dr Edward Kwapong, accompanied by his Vice, Leonard Quarcoopome and the Executive Director, Ebenezer Agbettor, described the donation as a modest contribution from the Institute to help a sister agency.
He said it is their way of helping the Labour Department to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.
Dr Kwapong expressed the hope that the items would help protect the labour officers in their line of duty.
Receiving the donation, the Acting Chief Labour Officer, Eugene Korletey, expressed gratitude on behalf of his team and assured the delegation that the items will be put to good use.
Earlier before the presentation, the IHRMP Ghana delegation and Labour Department officials, engaged in fruitful discussions bordering on areas of mutual interests to the two bodies.
