Ghana legend Abedi Pele is confident that Black Stars will beat Sudan on Saturday to inch close to a second successive World Cup berth.
The 'Maestro', who is currently in South Africa on the technical committee of the Confederations Cup, believes Milovan Rajevac's players are capable of beating the Nile Crocodiles.
Abedi Pele predicted a victory for the Black Stars in their previous qualifier against Mali two weeks ago and they went ahead to beat the Eagles 2-0 in Bamako.
Now the three-time African Player of the Year says Ghana will defeat Sudan to continue their push for a place at the World Cup to be held in South Africa in 2010.
"I have no doubt in my mind that the Black Stars are going to be victorious in the game against Sudan," Abedi Pele told Ghanasoccernet.com.
"Many people doubted that the Black Stars will beat Mali but I always know that this team had special qualities.
"I put my head above the parapet to predict that Ghana will win and I have not changed my position.
"Ghana is going ahead to beat Sudan and also set the pace for us to qualify for the World Cup to be held in Africa for the first time.
"As the No. 1 Black Stars fan and also an ardent believer in the national team I am backing them all the way to victory."
Ghana have maximum six points from the opening two matches of Group D of the African World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars will all but seal their place in the 2010 World Cup if they beat Sudan as they have two homes matches before that last game.
