The Asawase MP has accused security agencies enforcing law and order at various voters' registration centres in his constituency of being in bed with government.
Muntaka Mubarak said there have been several similar attacks on members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at several centres with the police and others looking on instead of arresting those disturbing the peace.
"Sometimes we receive numerous accusations about either our agents or some other persons being attacked.
"The security persons come around asking who it is and carry on without asking any questions as to what happened," he told Joy News Erastus Asare Donkor.
The Minority Chief Whip's accusations come after an alleged attack on his personal guard at a registration centre in Aboabo, a suburb of Asawase in the Ashanti Region.
Though it's not clear what sparked the violence, sources say an NPP agent pulled a pistol on the MP's bodyguard.
He is said to have threatened to shoot if the security personnel does not vacate the registration centre.
The MP, condemning the act said this is among several attacks on representatives of the party at registration centres in his constituency that have been overlooked.
