Founder and Executive Director of the Daquah Institute Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has taken a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for describing the Agyapa deal as shady.
The private legal practitioner said the NDC lacks a campaign message, hence its focus on the Agyapa deal.
"NDC is so bereft of ideas and a message that they think focusing on Agyapa is what might save their featureless campaign," he said in a tweet.
His comment comes after great opposition from the NDC against the Agyapa Royalties Agreement.
Among other things, the NDC has described the deal as "shady".
General Secretary for the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia at a press brief on Tuesday described the deal as "daylight robbery", following a Corruption Risk Assessment Report on the Agyapa deal conducted by the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
NDC is so bereft of ideas and a message that they think focusing on Agyapa is what might save their featureless campaign. Ghanaians mo nsempa! Why demonstrate now if you’re sure to win 2020 with majority in Parliament to cancel it? President says no move until elections are over

In the report, the Special Prosecutor established that, there was reasonable suspicion of bid-rigging and corruption activity in the selection process of the deal.
He added that upon analysing the transaction document, he discovered that the arrangements lacked transparency.
Mr Asiedu Nketia proceeded to task the Special Prosecutor to prosecute persons found culpable in the deal, since President Akufo-Addo has failed to act on the matter.
But reacting to this, Mr Asare Otchere-Darko believes the incessant cries against the deal is as a result of NDC's lack of campaign message.
"Why demonstrate now if you’re sure to win 2020 with majority in Parliament to cancel it? President says no move until elections are over," he added.
