Radio Presenter and organiser of Ghana DJ Awards Merqury Quaye has urged musicians to support and show some love to DJs.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he stated that the disk jockeys work hard to promote artiste's work at events and would need all the support they could get.
"Musicians and DJs are twins in this business. After the DJ plays your song on the radio and the pubs support is very key. When the DJ calls you for a collaboration or a project you are not doing them a favour," he said.
Mercury Quaye's comments came after he got a surprise appearance from self-acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale who came to appreciate DJs at the just ended Ghana DJ awards.
He told Andy Dosty that it is very important for other DJs to emulate this act from Shatta Wale.
"I was so surprised and it was a good gesture to appreciate DJs like the way he did," the event show organiser added.
DJ Mercury is the Host of Cruise control on Hitz 103.9 FM and has over the years been a major pivot in the Ghanaian Disk Jockeying space through the Ghana DJ Awards.
He recently hosted the 2020 edition at the Silver Star Tower on Saturday, November 21.
Shatta Wale, Dope Nation, Kuami Eugene and Bosom P-Yung performed on the night.
