Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac says his recent performances should earn him more recognition and respect from local fans after leading the Black Stars to a 100% winning record half-way through the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
The 52-year-old's appointment last August was vehemently opposed because of lack of national team coaching experience and inability to speak English Language fluently.
Rajevac has however won four out of the five qualifiers losing only Libya last September in the previous qualifying round.
The Black Stars have the maximum points from three matches and with three remaining matches to play - two home games and one away- it will be theirs to miss out on qualifying to South Africa.
"Now Ghanaians are getting to know me better. I had success previously in everything when I was coaching," Rajevac said at a press conference.
"It's not surprise at all. We managed to do everything what we planned-we created good atmosphere in the national team which is the most important if you want to succeed.
"When we have time to train then everything is possible."
The Serbian won a qualification ticket to the CHAN tournament against all odds in Nigeria and went ahead to win silver.
He is also credited for recalling striker Mathew Amoah after two-years out.
