Dozens of job seekers converged at the Wa Sports Stadium in the Upper West Region on Tuesday night ahead of Wednesday's job screening and documentation exercise by the Ghana Immigration Service.
Interacting with JoyNews' Rafiq Salam, a few of the job seekers indicated that they do not reside within the Wa township, thus the need to journey from their respective homes and keep vigil at the Stadium to enable them go through the processes.
Some individuals carried along mattresses and slept through the cold night, while others had discussions throughout the night to keep wake.
There was no source of light aside those from their mobile phones as street lights near the stadium no longer function.
In fear of losing their positions to other applicants who may arrive at the wee hours of Wednesday, they penned a list of those present.
‘‘Some of us are from far away places, if we wait, before we realize people will come and just write their names and they will be allowed inside the stadium,’’ one person said.
Meanwhile, thousands are expected to storm the Wa Sports Stadium in the morning to partake in the recruitment exercise.
