Ecobank Ghana has reiterated its commitment to deepen its support to start-up businesses in the country, pledging to increase it, going forward.
According to its Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Edward Nartey Botchway, the bank has put enough measures in place to assist startups to grow, expand and employ many Ghanaians.
"Over the last years, we’ve been in Ghana we’ve been supporting different sectors of the economy and we will continue to do that. There are various financial instruments including advisory we make available to aid their growth. They can always count on our support”, he said.
Dr. Botchway said customers will continue to be served with quality service regardless of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, he made these assertions at the 2021 Edition of the Light up the City event.
"Our customers will always enjoy some quality of service next year as we do always, we will collaborate with them and other stakeholders”.
The project was under the auspices of the Greater-Accra Regional Coordinating Council and a number of municipal assemblies in the Greater Accra region. Ecobank Ghana and a number of other corporate organisations joined forces to light up the major streets and roundabouts in the city of Accra and Kumasi for this Christmas.

This resulted in a return on average equity (ROAE) of 26% and return on average assets (ROAA) of 3.8%.
