Kumasi Academy has secured a place in the One-Eighth Stage of the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after a commanding performance at the School of Medical Sciences (SMS) Auditorium.
KUMACA finished the contest on 58 points, comfortably ahead of Bueman SHS, who ended on 39 points, while Hohoe E.P. SHS managed 27 points.

Akunini established its authority as the contest progressed, maintaining its lead and eventually finishing 19 points clear of Bueman SHS.
Bueman SHS, despite mounting a challenge, could not match KUMACA’s consistency, while Hohoe E.P. SHS struggled to keep pace with the two leading schools.

The victory continues Kumasi Academy’s strong presence on the national NSMQ stage and earns the school another shot at progressing deeper into the competition.
Final score:

Hohoe E.P. SHS — 27 points
