Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson has lamented the lazy Ghanaian movie editors exhibit when working with them.
She made this complaint in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz after she was quizzed by a listener on if she employed the services of a Ghanaian editor for her new and how long it took for the work to be done by the editor.
In her response, the CEO of YN Productions said she refused because they have messed her up on numerous occasions.
According to her, the timelines, seriousness and efficiency Ghanaian editors put into their work are not something she condones, and for that reason, she prefers working with foreign film editors over local film editors.
"I have been complaining about Ghanaian editors. They messed me up. Timelines, seriousness, efficiency zero so I will be honest I shot a new movie and I had to fly in a Nigerian editor and he is done. He finished editing in three weeks and he left," she revealed.
She went further to state emphatically that apart from the Ghanaian film editors she finds difficult working with, every other person including Sound guys and Directors has so far worked pretty well.
Yvonne Nelson was on the show with TikTok star Jackline Mensah to promote their upcoming movie titled 'Fifty Fifty', which is due to be shown at the Silver Bird Cinemas at the Accra Mall this Saturday.
