The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson says musician King Promise is her favourite artiste.
According to her, although she loves Ghanaian music, she cannot help but choose King Promise as her number one because they share a birthday.
Speaking on the yet to be aired edition of The Probe on JoyNews, the High Commissioner said she enjoys the music of “Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, all of them. I have to say King Promise (is a favourite) because I recently discovered that he is my birthday twin.”
Aside from that, Mrs. Harriet Thompson said “I really enjoy the arts, the fashion, it’s just so rich and energising…I am terrible at words and names, but I am enjoying it.”
A huge honour to celebrate Homowo with the people of Gbese. Remembering the values and customs of those who went before, and the importance of working in unity to make hunger a thing of the past. Very special. #SDG2#partnership pic.twitter.com/yywtY8XX9h

Since her arrival in Ghana, Madam Thompson has not been one to shy away from engaging in some local activities, pushing the art and simply being in the company of locals.
Recently she joined the Gas in the Greater Accra Region to celebrate Homowo.
She has also journeyed to some parts of the Volta Region and the Northern parts of the country to interact with chiefs and the people.

As a British woman, what to wear as “traditional attire” was a challenge for me. I went for head to toe @marksandspencer 😳🤣 pic.twitter.com/jjaKbTBpug
Just had my very first Ghanaian cooking lesson! I made akple with Honourable Dzifa Gomashie, MP for Ketu South - I learned it's all in the stirring!
We then sat down with Queen Mothers to eat and talk about the issues facing the local community and how we tackle these together. pic.twitter.com/Rj6QlTh1mY— Harriet Thompson (@HCThompson001) July 6, 2022
