The organiser of the 'Ku Me Preko Reloaded' reloaded demonstration has hinted at holding similar protests in other regions of the country.
Martin Kpebu who was speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show explained that this will give the populace across the country the to express their frustration towards the Akufo-Addo government.
He insisted that the incumbent government has mismanaged the economy, thus, must resign for the citizenry to vote for a more competent person to steer the helm of affairs of the state.
“We are still debriefing, it is quite a process. We’ll have other meetings to analyze but even before we were done with this one, we had received invitations from people in Kumasi, Takoradi, and even Tamale to come.
“So we’ll need funding,” he told hosts Winston Amoah and Kojo Yankson on Monday.
Scores of protesters massed up in the streets of Accra on Saturday to register their displeasure at the government over what they say is the mismanagement of the economy.
Among other demands, they want President Akufo-Addo to resign in order to pave way for the constitutional provision for his replacement to be set in motion.
Although protestors did not turn up in their numbers, Mr Kpebu says he will not relent in the quest to get the people’s voices heard.
He further explained that people could not turn up because of financial constraints.
“I thought at least 10,000 people will turn up because the message had been well received but on the day they didn’t come.
“But it is alright because the statement has been made and if not anything at all, now a lot of Ghanaians have understood that the President only came to enrich himself at the expense of the country,” he stated.
