Ghana's Christian Nii Nortey Duah has been awarded a World Aquatics scholarship for further career development in Thailand.
The 18-year-old who features for Legon Sharks swimming club, will travel to the Asian country for training for the next 12 months.
His travel documents were handed to him by the Ghana Swimming Association president, Mrs. Delphina Quaye, and other members of the country’s aquatic governing body
Mrs. Quaye, and the Association’s treasurer, Mrs. Farida Iddriss, who doubles as a board member of World Aquatics, admonished Christian to comport himself and not take the opportunity for granted so that upcoming swimmers can stand a chance of benefiting from the scholarship.
Christian promised to drop his time and hopes to qualify for upcoming major swimming tournaments.
