The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has named Augustine Eguavoen, as interim head coach of the Super Eagles.
Eguavon, who is the Technical Director of the NFF steps into role as head coach of the Super Eagles for the fourth time in his career.
This comes just a day after former boss, Jose Peseiro, left after the expiration of his contract.
Eguavoen is expected to be in charge of the Super Eagles games during the March international window.
The 58 year old takes over the Super Eagles job again, after winning bronze in the 2006 AFCON and also crashing out in the Round of 16 at AFCON 2021.
This would be the fourth time Eguavoen would be appointed for the Super Eagles job, with the first being in 2005 on a caretaker basis, in 2010 replacing Lars Lagerback, and in 2021, coming in for Gernot Rohr and now as a replacement for Jose Peseiro.
