The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has apologised to its customers regarding the difficulties they are experiencing when attempting to purchase electricity credits.
The company attributed these challenges to ongoing disruptions in internet connectivity.
Acknowledging the inconvenience caused, ECG assured customers that it is actively collaborating with its network operators to swiftly resolve these issues.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, March, ECG emphasised its commitment to addressing the situation as expeditiously as possible.
“The Electricity Company of Ghana wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public that the current interruptions in internet service provision have resulted in challenges with vending and purchasing of electricity credits."
In light of these circumstances, the power distribution company has urged Ghanaians to exercise patience while they diligently work towards resolving the connectivity problems.
ECG added that it remains dedicated to providing reliable services and ensuring the smooth functioning of electricity credit purchases for its customers.
"ECG wishes to assure all customers that we are engaging our service providers and Metering vendors to assist resolve the challenge,” the press release added.
