The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North, Theresa Lardi Awuni, filed her nomination forms for re-election in the upcoming December polls amid support from voters on Monday.
The MP said her filing of nominations represents a bold statement of her commitment to the constituency and the future of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Party faithful thronged the offices of the EC chanting in support of the MP "Obaanaa!, Eye Zu” the crowd sang.

Many supporters present expressed their excitement about the MP’s continued leadership and voiced their confidence that she would secure another term in Parliament.
Addressing the jubilant crowd after the filing of her nomination forms, Awuni expressed gratitude for the overwhelming show of support, and promised her dedication to serve the people of Okaikwei North.
She vowed to be their champion for accountability and development.
Party executives, regional leaders, and notable community members were present at the event and they touted the MP’s leadership.
