The Omanhene of the Akwapim Traditional Area, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, has advised boxer Holy Dorgbetor to embrace discipline and work diligently to achieve success.
He made these remarks after receiving an entourage from Holy Dorgbetor's camp, led by Co-Manager Kofie Solomon, last Friday at his residence in Akropong, Eastern Region.
Mr. Kofie pointed out that the courtesy call was to express gratitude for his unwavering support and to present Holy with his newly crowned IBF Inter-Continental Africa Featherweight title while seeking blessings for the entire team.
He added that Holy is ready for a World title challenge, with preparations underway to move him to the United States for further development to excel on bigger stages and defend his title.
Oseadeeyo Akuffo, in receiving the team, urged the boxer to overcome the challenging moments they may encounter. He also applauded him for his tireless efforts and the successes he has achieved.
"As a boxer, there is the need to stay disciplined and work hard in your career, give out your best in the ring. Hardwork and perseverance should be your hallmark", he insisted.
Holy's team Assistant Coach, Ibrahim Wumpuni lauded the qualities of Holy, describing him as the most disciplined boxer he has worked with.
Also present at the solemn event were Isaac Adu Amankwaah, (GM of ACE Power Promotions) and Samuel Martei Laryea who won the UBO bantamweight title after defeating Lukman Akinolugbade from Nigeria at the Odwira Festival Boxing Night.
ACE Power Promotions will stage the "Street 2 Champions" fight night on November 16 at the Center Point Mall, Atomic Junction in Accra.
The event will see Holy Dorgbetor slug it out with Kasimu Hamad Haji from Tanzania while Mohammed Aryeetey will battle Samuel Wilson and 2020 Olympic Games Bronze Medalist Samuel Takyi will face a yet to be announced opponent from Nigeria.
