The Network of Women in Broadcasting (NOWIB) has officially announced its inaugural Executive Council, which will serve a three-year term from 2025 to 2028.
The council, comprised of professionals from various media platforms across Ghana, aims to advance the role of women in broadcasting and foster a supportive environment for industry growth.
NOWIB, a collective of approximately 80 media professionals, is led under the patronage of esteemed broadcasters Nana Yaa Konadu and Nana Yaa Brefo.

The organisation is committed to empowering women in broadcasting through mentorship, collaboration, and advocacy.
"We are excited to establish our Executive Council, which will help us achieve our goal of creating a supportive ecosystem for women in broadcasting," said Maame Biamah Akwafo, President of NOWIB.
"We aim to foster a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and growth, ultimately paving the way for future generations of women in media."

NOWIB is dedicated to promoting professional development opportunities, creating mentorship programs, fostering networking, and supporting young women entering the media industry.
The organisation has announced that its official inauguration will take place in March 2025, with the event expected to bring together key stakeholders in the broadcasting industry to celebrate the launch and chart the future direction of NOWIB.
