The chief of Banda-Boase in the Banda district of the Bono region, Odeɛfoɔ Dua Bata Buoɔ Ligbi Wullotei II, has condemned the recent vandalism at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) office by some aggrieved youth.
The vandalism took place following the nomination of Peter Donji as District Chief Executive (DCE). The irate NDC youth preferred Emmanuel Donkor, the Assembly Member for Banda Boase, for the role.
At a press conference, the chief expressed his sincere apologies and condemned the behaviour, stating that it does not reflect the values of the people of Banda Boase.
He announced plans to engage with the youth and the community to address their concerns.
The chief further expressed gratitude to President Mahama for recognizing the Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and appointing him as the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.

He also congratulated the DCE nominee, Peter Donji, and pledged his full support to him.
Meanwhile, Mr Donkor has distanced himself from the violent act, urging supporters to focus on supporting the DCE nominee.
He expressed trust in President Mahama’s decisions, acknowledging that he has the sole prerogative to nominate individuals to occupy the office.
The Assembly Member said the violent act by the youth was unfortunate and stressed that it was wrong for them to have engaged in that act.
