Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has been nominated for the Best West African Player Abroad at the inaugural 2025 Culture Info Sports Awards (CIS), which will take place on June 20, 2025, in Conakry, Guinea.
Partey enjoyed a stellar season under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, making 52 appearances across all competitions. He contributed four goals and three assists, playing a crucial role in the Gunners’ campaign that saw them finish as Premier League runners-up and reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Renowned for his composure, tactical intelligence, and ability to dictate play, Partey has further cemented his reputation as one of Europe’s most dependable midfielders.
His nomination is a source of national pride for Ghana, celebrating his achievements and status as a symbol of excellence in West African football.
Partey faces strong competition for the award, including Victor Osimhen (Nigeria, Galatasaray), Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea), and Franck Yannick Kessié (Côte d'Ivoire).
