Arsenal have confirmed that negotiations are underway with Ghana international Thomas Partey over a contract extension, following the announcement that four senior players will leave the club at the end of the month.
The midfielder’s current deal expires on June 30, and speculation had surrounded his future, particularly after a season in which he delivered his most consistent performances since joining from Atlético Madrid in 2020.
Partey featured in 52 matches across all competitions during the campaign—12 more than his previous highest tally for the club—scoring four goals and providing three assists in the process.
The Gunners addressed his situation in a statement on their official website, indicating that discussions are in progress.
“The following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing, and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course. Chloe Kelly, Thomas Partey, Michal Rosiak.”
Arsenal also confirmed the departure of several players, including senior figures such as Raheem Sterling, Kieran Tierney, Neto, and Jorginho, as part of a wider squad reshuffle ahead of the 2025/26 season.
