DJ Pho, the 2024 Event DJ of the Year at the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, shared how winning this prestigious award has transformed his career when he appeared on Prime Morning on Joy Prime TV.
Speaking about his journey, DJ Pho reflected, “For DJs, without having the spotlight on you, you can only do so much. But when you’re recognized by the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards board you really go far.”
He explained that after being honored, his bookings and profile reached a new level.
Since clinching the Event DJ of the Year, DJ Pho has showcased his talents at numerous prestigious occasions, such as the 3i Africa Summit, African Union Gala, Bank of Ghana Social Dinner, Democracy Cup, further cementing his reputation in the industry.
He emphasized, “Without the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, there are places you simply can’t go as a DJ.” The recognition from the awards helped him secure gigs that were previously out of reach.
DJ Pho offered special thanks to Merqury Quaye, the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards board, and sponsors like Smirnoff and Guinness Ghana.
“They are doing magic for DJs in Ghana. Their platform is taking us higher, and we thank Merqury for his support,” he said.
