The prestigious recognition celebrates Mr Dasmani's commitment to impactful journalism that drives tangible change in the region.
Halidu Dasmani's recognition at the 4th Upper East GJA Awards further solidifies the reputation of Adom TV, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group, as an influential and socially relevant media powerhouse.
Impactful Reporting Drives Health Infrastructure
Mr Dasmani's award-winning entry centred on a powerful exposé that highlighted the deplorable state of the maternity ward at the Kpatia Health Centre.

His reporting revealed how the critical lack of proper facilities was adversely affecting crucial mother and child healthcare delivery.
Crucially, the story was a catalyst for action, directly leading to the construction of a new, modern maternity ward at the health centre.
The GJA Awards, which serve as the country's top platform for celebrating journalistic excellence, lauded Mr Dasmani's work as a beacon of informative and high-impact SRHR reporting.

His win underscores the vital role the media plays in covering sensitive health and rights issues, particularly in regions where access to information can be the crucial difference between stagnation and meaningful development.
A Voice for the Vulnerable
"Covering SRHR topics isn't just about reporting news—it's about giving a voice to the vulnerable and informing communities about rights that can transform lives," Mr Dasmani stated following the win.
WaterAid supported the award ceremony under the SHARE Project.
As SRHR remains a critical area of focus for communities across Ghana, Mr Dasmani's dedication signals the profound importance of committed reporting in these essential spaces.
