Gospel singer Lady Lydia Appau has released a new single titled Aseda Nkoaa, literally translated as "only thanksgiving", which is already gaining attention on streaming platforms and in church auditoriums.
The song was inspired by a period of deep personal tragedy. “In that dark period, the Lord gave me this song. It carried me through and reminded me that gratitude is still possible even in pain,” Lady Lydia said.
The message behind Aseda Nkoaa is clear: there is always a reason to thank God, even in difficult times.
Aseda Nkoaa is a Contemporary Ghanaian Highlife piece that blends heartfelt worship with indigenous Ghanaian rhythm and soul. It carries a warm, nostalgic African tone while maintaining a modern sound that appeals to both younger audiences and mature believers.
The single was produced by her husband, Chris Appau, at Pneuma Music Studios in Accra. Their collaboration showcases a balance between excellence and spiritual depth. From the rich instrumentation to the layered vocals, the production reflects both artistic precision and divine inspiration.
Beyond its sound, Aseda Nkoaa has been touching lives. Listeners have shared testimonies of how the song has lifted their spirits and renewed their sense of gratitude. “It’s such a blessing to see how many lives this song has touched,” Lady Lydia said.
As she continues her musical journey, Lady Lydia Appau promises more uplifting and spirit-filled songs that bring hope and draw hearts closer to God. If Aseda Nkoaa is anything to go by, the Gospel music scene should expect a lot more from her.
