Ghana Women's Premier League side, Halifax Queens, have signed a partnership agreement with sportsbookmakers, Betika.
The sponsorship deal was announced by the fast growing gaming firm in Ghana on November 6, 2025, at their office in Accra.
The deal sees the gaming firm become the official merchandise partner for the foreseeable future.
According to the Country Manager, John Khawam, partnering with Halifax could be beneficial for both parties.
"I have seen how Halifax play. Previously, have been supporting one female club and this is the second club we are now partnering,” he said.

“We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship. We are here to support you on any merchandise that you will need because we believe that this partnership could lead to something good for both parties.”
The Operations Manager for Halifax Queens, Chester, added, “As a club, we are honored to have a partnership like this.”
“For a long time, we have been waiting for something like this and now we have Betika sponsoring us.
“We will do everything possible to make them happy and proud as our partners.”
The Campaign Activation Lead at Betika, Sylvester Opoku, revealed the rationale behind the sponsorship and added that they would look to help out more clubs in the future.

“We are happy to partner with Halifax Queens; this is our quota to help push women’s football to the level it’s supposed to be,” he said.
“It’s in our future plans to partner with more female clubs. It’s something we have in our plans.”
Halifax Queens are playing in the Women’s Premier League for the second consecutive season after surviving relegation at the end of their maiden campaign last season.
