Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is set to win next week’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries with a commanding 57 per cent of the vote, according to a final survey by research firm Global InfoAnalytics.

In its report released on Friday, Global InfoAnalytics projected that Dr Bawumia would be retained by party delegates as the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2028 general election, with 57 per cent of delegates endorsing his candidature.

Kennedy Agyapong is expected to place second with 28 per cent of the votes, followed by Dr Bryan Acheampong with 13 per cent.

The survey further predicts that former Minister of Education, Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum, will secure two per cent, while Kwabena Agyapong, a former General Secretary of the NPP, is projected to receive no votes.

Global InfoAnalytics sampled more than 10,000 delegates across 276 constituencies nationwide, using a probability sampling method.

According to the research firm, the survey has a confidence level of 99.9 per cent.

Global InfoAnalytics noted that it has closely followed the build-up to the NPP primaries and has conducted monthly surveys, all of which have consistently placed Dr Bawumia in the lead.

More than 200,000 delegates are expected to vote in the primaries scheduled for Saturday, January 31, across the country.
