The 2026 edition of the Ghana Inter School Festival took place at Lincoln Community School on March 7, 2026, bringing together young athletes from across the capital for a day of sporting competition.
The event, which aims to promote sports development among schoolchildren in Accra, attracted 16 schools and more than 2,000 students.
Participants competed in swimming, football, basketball and chess, showcasing talent and teamwork across multiple disciplines.
In the girls’ football competition, DPS International Ghana emerged as champions after an impressive performance throughout the tournament.
The school also enjoyed success in the chess tournament, winning both the primary and high school categories. Ridham, representing DPS International Ghana, finished first in the primary division with 4.5 points, while Manoom Singh topped the high school category, also scoring 4.5 points.
In the swimming competition, Peculiar International School claimed top honours after a strong display in the pool.
The festival continues to serve as an important platform for nurturing young sporting talent and encouraging participation in a variety of disciplines among students in Ghana.
