The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has scheduled a six-hour power interruption in parts of the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The outage, which will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., according to the power distributor, is to allow it to carry out planned maintenance work aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply.
According to ECG, the exercise will affect several communities and surrounding areas within the region.
The affected areas include Effiduase, Apemso, Asekyerewa, the Senkyi enclaves, Asenua, parts of Ahwiaa, Overseas, Maase, and Simms SHS.
Other affected communities are parts of Fawoade, Adumakase Kese, Wawase, and Meduma.

ECG said the maintenance works are necessary to improve the quality and reliability of the power supply in the affected areas.
The company apologised to customers for the inconvenience the planned outage may cause.
