The 2009/2010 Glo Premier League kicks off next weekend, October 18.
The game would light up the league as it is the season’s first clash between sides that finished in the top-four last season.
With Nii Noi Thompson making way for a new man at Hearts of Oak after guiding them through the final stages of their title success last season, Egyptian coach Ayman El Yamani will have the task of opening the Phobians’ Glo Premier League title defence.
The Phobians after their opening game will take on King Faisal and Kessben FC all at home before making a stop at Sekondi to face Hasaacas, all packed into their first four games.
The fixture pile has the biggest game of the calendar slated for the weekend of December 6, 2009.
That would be the first clash of the heavyweights with Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko set to do battle on match-day-9 at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
Ayman’s side close their first round campaign with a game at home to Real Tamale United on January 3, 2010.
Newly promoted Great Olympics will mark their return to the top flight against Asante Kotoko in Accra on the opening day.
New Edubiase making their league debut would be away to Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park while another debutant, Aduana Stars travel away to the Golden City Park to play Berekum Arsenals.
Eleven Wise host All Stars on the first day while AshantiGold take on Berekum Chelsea.
