The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has commended the entrepreneurial skills and acumen of the youth in the country.
He said some outstanding youth in the Kumasi metropolis have demonstrated enormous entrepreneurial skills that had led to the creation of employment and offered hope to majority of residents in the metropolis.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu stated this at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Wednesday when the management of the Angel FM, a Kumasi-based radio station paid a courtesy call on him.
The call was to introduce the new radio station to the Asantehene and seek his blessings and support.
The Asantehene commended Dr Kwaku Oteng, Managing Director of Angel Group of Companies for his efforts at creating opportunities for the people in the metropolis.
He said the production of Angel ointment and soap as well as tonic, had brought relief to majority of Ghanaians who were suffering from various diseases and ailments.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu said the establishment of a model school in Kumasi by the company demonstrated the commitment of Dr Oteng to provide opportunities to children to attain quality education.
He said the radio station would not only help provide free speech but would also help to provide platforms for businesses to thrive in Asanteman.
Mr Yamoah Frimpong, who spoke on behalf of the Managing Director, said the radio station would be used to provide unity and cohesion among the people in Asanteman and also serve the course of the Manhyia Palace.
The company donated ¢10 million to Otumfuo Education Fund.
