Four armed robbers who robbed Oando Petrol Filling Station at Bibiani at gunpoint and killed Samuel Obeng, 36, the attendant, have been remanded in prison custody by the Bibiani Circuit Court.
The robbers whose pleas were not taken are Yaw Anthony alias Amina, driver, Ebenezer Arthur alias Aboeku, trader, Ishmael Logotu, herbalist and Kwaku Obeng, farmer.
They will re-appear on June 20.
Prosecuting, Police Inspector Lucky Goglomi told the court, presided over by Mr Emil Dickson Daketsey that on April 13, this year, at about 1730 hours, the police at Bibiani had information that there was armed robbery at the filling station near Bibiani Secondary/Technical School.
When the police together with military personnel arrived at the scene, the robbery had taken place and the attendant shot dead.
The prosecution said police investigations led to the arrest of Yaw Anthony and Kwaku Obeng.
Inspector Goglomi said Logotu, the owner of the taxicab with registration number AS 7126 C that was spotted at the scene of the crime that day was arrested together with Arthur upon a tip-off.Source: GNA
