Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has revealed he is not keen on a starting role in Sunday's final 2010 Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier against the Eagles of Mali at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The Udinese player returned from a one-month lay-off and has made four Serie A appearances and must now fight for a place in Milovan Rajevac's team.
Asamoah was key in the Ghana team that won two matches away in June and was on target in the 0-2 over Mali in Bamako.
The 21-year-old is in no rush to recapture his place in the Black Stars for the final qualifier.
"For me I don't have any problem playing right now. The most important thing is being with the team and we win because if you are not with the first XI it doesn't mean you're not with the team," Asamoah told Ghanasoccernet.com
"Even if you are coming on as a substitute we are all part of the team so I'm not worried if I play or I don't play so my prayers is that we win at it belongs to all of us."
Asamoah confirmed he has been given the all-clear to play at the January's Nations Cup in Angola dismissing fear of a club and country row.
"I don't think I have any difficulties with this thing (Nations Cup) because for me I don't have any much problem," he added.
"But for me and my coach and my director, I think they Know I will be leaving to the African Cup of Nations so I don't have any problem going to play for my country.
"If you look at most of African best players- Essien, Drogba and Eto'O they always go with their team playing for the African Cup so why can't I go and play for my country."
