The senior national football team, the Black Stars, with their South Africa 2010 ticket already procured, put up a not too splendid performance on Sunday against a vengeance seeking Mali side in Kumasi.
The Stars had to fight back twice to draw two-all with the Malians who had been handed a 2:0 punching by the Black Stars in the first leg in Mali last June.
Opinions were sharply divided among fans on what could have accounted for the Stars lacklustre showing, for while one opinion held that with qualification to the World Cup and Angola 2010 already booked, there was very little to play for.
On the other side of the argument were calls for the immediate injection of 'fresh limbs' into the team if Ghana is to make any impression in Angola and South Africa. They back their argument with the seemingly 'more purposeful' approach to the game (albeit for a short duration) by substitutes Kwadwo Asamoah, Lee Addy and Agyemang Badu.
Well, what's on your mind? Which of the sides do you support?
