Management member of the Black Satellites Frederick Acheampong is confident the team will qualify for the next stage of the African Youth Championship qualifier despite their 2-1 first leg loss in Ethiopia.
Plans are already underway for the second leg in a fortnight’s time with the game scheduled to be played in the newly built Cape Coast stadium.
Acheampong who was with the team in Addis Ababa has no doubt over their qualification chances.
“Because of the result, we met to strategize as to how to overturn the results,” he told Joy Sports.
“We concluded there are midweek matches and the weekend matches so we allowed the players to move to their various clubs.”
“We are reassembling next Monday. We will not break camp, we will be in Prampram for a week and move to Cape Coast a week after to continue with preparations till June 12.”
“We believe we will have enough preparations in two weeks to overcome the Ethiopians.”
