West Blue Consulting, an innovative business and IT consulting firm and Twellium Industries, producers of Rush Energy Drink will partner McDan Group as supporting sponsors for this year's McDan Open West Africa Tennis Tournament between June 27 and July 2.
The tournament to be played at the Accra Stadium, is expected to attract close to 200 players from the West African Sub region, as total prize money of $5,000
In an interview Ms. Valentina Mintah, CEO of West Blue Consulting said, "at West blue we are very passionate about young people and opportunities that help them develop. The McDan Open West Africa tournament is a great platform we can associate with to ensure young people can play good tennis and eventually help Ghana to win big laurels at major international competitions"
"We look forward to tough competition especially considering that players from Cote d'Ivoire Ghana Togo Benin and Nigeria will battle each other on the courts, " she added.
According to Ms Mintah, she her outfit is confident the partnership will eventually help produce big names like the Djokovics and Williams of today "
"We have also used our social responsibility projects on underprivileged youth and sports a a great way of creating opportunities for these people"
"We are also particularly excited about the fact that other countries are coming together. Since we operate in countries in the sub region. We want to foster closer friendship and co-operation. The McDan Open tournament provides a great platform for it," she told Joy Sports.
Rush Energy Drink who were the official beverage partner for the first edition are excited to be part of this year's event which has opened up to the sub region. Emelia Gyasi, Assistant Marketing Manager, in another interview ,
"We are glad to be part of this continuous process of developing talents and also giving a big stage for regular competition, "

Meanwhile Group Chairman of McDan shipping, Dr Daniel McKorley, has promised a spectacular event in this year's edition of the tournament .
According to him the decision to bring West Blue and Rush Energy Drink on Board was due to their belief in his efforts to revive Ghana tennis Dr McKorley who is an avid tennis enthusiast revealed that the steady progress of the tournament, having assumed international dimension (West Africa) is a strong indication of his pledge that the tournament has come to stay. Meanwhile, Dr McKorley, who marked his birthday on June 16 anniversary yesterday presented loads of food items, toiletries and an undisclosed amount to the Teshie Orphanage.
