Kumasi is set to get an ultra-modern squash court following the completion of a GH¢300,000.00 facility for the Officers Mess Squash club.
The court, whose construction was financed from donations of members of the club, with support from some corporate institutions, is expected to be outdoored on July 1, 2016.

The air-conditioned facility also boasts of modern amenities of international standard.
Captain of the Officers Mess Squash Club, Lawyer Francis Coffie, says the court can host any international competition.
“Now we have the most modern court edifice in Ghana, with all the standard facilities that you can think of’. We have a bouncy court floor; a terrace and spectator gallery, an upper terrace VIP lounges and a glass back”, he explained.
He indicates an in-house TV has been installed to allow spectators who cannot watch games at considerable from the court to do so on screens.
Lawyer Coffie is full of gratitude to the 4 Garrison Military High Command for its support by allowing the construction of the facility on its premises.
“The GOC of the Central Command of the Ghana Armed Forces in Kumasi, Brigadier- General Joseph Boampong, gave us the permission to do this work and his support has been tremendous”, he stressed.
“Interestingly, most of the military personnel are now yearning to join the club and play, which is gratifying to hear”, Lawyer Coffie concluded.
