President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Colonel John Bosco Emmanuel Guyiri of the Ghana Armed Forces as Acting Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana Fire Service with effect from 15th of March, 2011.He replaces Mr. Brown Gaisie who reverts to his former position as Deputy Chief Fire Officer.The president has also nominated two persons - Ms. Mavis Ama Frimpong and Mr. Ibrahim Issaka as District Chief Executives for Birim North and Kwahu North respectively.A statement from the presidency Thursday, signed by Mr. J.K. Bebaako-Mensah, Secretary to the President, said Colonel Guyiri has held several important appointments in the Ghana Armed Forces, including Commanding Officer 5th Infantry Battalion, Commanding Officer, GHANBATT 6, UNAMSIL, Commanding Officer GHANBATT 62, UNIFIL, Director, Administration, Army Headquarters. Col. Guyiri is currently the Deputy Director- General, Joint Operations at the Ghana Armed Forces Headquarters.Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
