Razak Braimah – 6

Had a quiet game and was barely troubled. Only contentious moment was when he spilled a cross but generally comfortable.

Harrsion Afful -6

Generally quiet on the offensive but kept a good eye on Tony Maweije. Good outing after the mistake in Egypt.

Baba Rahman – 5

Played for close to 35 minutes and was largely impressive. Ghana was in the ascendency and his defensive contribution was rarely questioned.

John Boye -6

Was barely troubled and kept Geoffrey Massa well in check. Dealt with his physicality very well.

Daniel Amartey -7

The Leicester man is fast becoming the mainstay of the Ghana backline. Decent composure once again. Displayed strength and a cool head to ease off Miya in a tackle.

Thomas Partey- 7.5

Dominant display by the strong midfielder. Controlled the game very well. Partey passed well, strong in the tackle and useful in the air.

Christian Atsu -8

Continued from where he left off in 2015. Was the outlet for Ghana time and again. His speed and skill will be useful in the competition. Provided defensive cover for Harrison in the second half.

Mubarak Wakaso -5.5

One of the few poor showings by the midfielder, Failed to dictate the tempo and his passing was larely atrocious. Needs a strong showing against Mali.

Jordan Ayew- 5

Consistent theme from the Aston Villa man. Hard running, but no end product. Run the channels vry well but his final ball left much to be desired.

Asamoah Gyan 5.5

Still getting to speed and was  involved with a few tricks and flicks. Worked hard to win Ghana the penalty but missed a good header, Could get better.

Dede Ayew – 6.5

Far better showing than in Egypt. Scored the penalty and contributed to midfield action. Will be pivotal in Ghana’s quest for the trophy.

Frank Acheampong -5

Struggled with the pace of the game after being introduced in the first half. Was caugh napping defensively and offered little going forward.

Emmanuel Agyeman Badu – 6

Replaced Asamoah Gyan and used his energy across midfield.

Afriyie Acquah – N/A

Little or no time to make an impact.
