Six countries have confirmed their participation for the forthcoming Netball Africa Cup of Nations fixed for 10-16 July, 2011 at the University of Ghana courts in Accra.
The confirmed countries are Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, Zanzibar and Zambia.
Reverend Emmanuel Nikoi, President of Netball Association of Ghana told GNA Sports the five others have officially notified the organizing body of their participation.
He explained that the championship, originally scheduled for May 2011 was rescheduled due to low interest from member countries and the visit of the President of the Confederation of African Netball Associations to Mauritius to inaugurate a project.
Rev. Nikoi said preparations are advanced to stage a successful tournament.
Ghana last hosted the maiden edition in 2002, incidentally, also at the University of Ghana courts.
