A not for profit organisation Radiant Family Foundation (RFF) is set to launch its charity programme dubbed "A sandal on his foot," Saturday.
The programme is to raise funds for kids across the country most of whom roam the streets or go to school on barefoot.
According to the Executive Director of RFF Aisha Nimoh her outfit has over the years embarked on different projects including "spec of love" which is to show love to children especially in villages and other isolated, less developed areas across the country.
On each visit to distribute items to the kids most of them come barefooted sometimes on the scorching sun or in muddy situations.
The foundation, therefore, decided to turn its attention to providing footwear to the kids across the country hence the "Sandal on his foot" project.
As a result, the Foundation is set to raise funds for 10,000 shoes to be distributed across the ten regions of the country, 1000 per region.
The fund raising ceremony is expected to take place on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Exopaburg, behind the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
New Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah is expected to make an appearance at the fund raising ceremony to support the project.
Key activities for the evening include the launch of the RFF Flagship Project, 'A sandal on his foot," Fashion Show, musical performances, and networking.
