Management of the country’s premium free-to-air satellite television platform, MultiTV and its distributors, Strong Technologies, Syndicated Capital and Somotex have resolved to pursue an aggressive distribution strategy to get MultiTV in more homes.
This resolution was arrived at at the Mid-Year Distribution Performance Review Meeting between management and the distributors at the African Regent Hotel Wednesday night.
The meeting brought together all who matter and they all vowed make the product - which is a already a household name - available in every nook and cranny in the country. Present Mrs Jane Gyekye, Chief HR Business Partner; Abdulai Awudu, Programmes Director of Multi TV; Edwin Annan, Head of Technical Department; MacBen Adu Asamoah, Sales Manager, Dzodzi Anador, Head of Events; William Addison, Regional Coordinator; and Aloysius Acquah, Customer Care Coordinator.
Karim Soubra, MD for Strong Technologies and Nana Brown from Syndicated Capital represented the distributors.
The Mid-Year review meeting was aimed at demonstrating Multimedia’s genuine partnership with all its accredited distributors and also to create an enabling platform to engage, share and seek views to achieve a competitive position for the business.
The meeting confirmed from January 2011 to July 2011, hundreds of thousands of homes have joined the Multi-TV family, ample evidence that Many Ghanaians are embracing the network as the home of unlimited information and entertainment.
Jane Gyekye, Chief HR Business Partner for Multimedia in her short remarks pledged Multimedia’s support for its distributors and lauded the partnership with them.
She said that international research had shown that MultiTV and its distributors have performed tremendously in their distribution drive - a feat she said must spur them on to do more.
Representatives at the meeting agreed to establish effective service centres to address the needs of their clients.
Amongst other things, the meeting also resolved that the MultiTV network must focus on aggressive visibility and public engagement activities. Its pub series where the general public congregate at selected areas to watch football matches will be expanded.
