Probably, the most exciting player on the local league some four season’s ago, Charles Taylor says he is desperate for a return to the Black Stars.“When I watch them play I think I can also play and given the chance I can prove my worth” he told All Sports.The Hearts of Oak player hopes to heal on time for the start of the new league season. He reckons when he recovers fully he can catch the eyes of the handlers.Stars Coach Claude Leroy has stated that his doors are still open for a call up to the team and Taylor could get a gig if he recaptures his old form.Taylor suffered a nagging leg injury last season which kept him in the sidelines for some time now. But he is ready and willing to play again.Charles joined Hearts from Kotoko last season and had little playing. His transfer to Hearts sparked lots of controversy but he was unperturbed.Taylor is reportedly recovering fast and is anxious to join his teammates in camp to prepare for the upcoming league season.Taylor's passion for football knows no bounds and that even in his recuperating state he has started light training.He told All Sports "I always think about the Black Stars and I feel I have a role to play in the current team."The former Kotoko player once led the Black Stars against Nigeria at the former Accra Sports Stadium (Ohene Djan Stadium) in an African Cup Qualifier.
